Materials & Colour Palette

Because the main elements of the bathhouse was the pocket forest, I opted to use more natural materials with a natural finish, as opposed to those with a glossy finish. I also wanted my colour palette to be more warm toned, so that it was more inviting rather than cold.

Wood

I thought that bringing a stained wood into the space would bring warmth, as opposed to using a lighter piece of wood.

Stone

  • I initially wanted to use a darker colour of marble but I later felt that it would be too dark for the bathhouse.
Texture of the stone tile I want to use as the bathrooms.

Tiles

I wanted to use tiles along the wall to add texture to the bathhouse.
Considering using light colours as the floor & the pools, as I want the floor to connect directly to the pools.
Also considering the option to be a little lighter.

Glass

using frosted glass for privacy in the small pools.
