Personal Bathing Experience
My bathing experience is simply just my everyday routine of taking a shower after a long day. I would take my clothes into the bathroom, undress, and hop into the shower. When showering, I physically and mentally feel the day washing off my body, as if I am replenishing my body for tomorrows adventures. I feel that I would maybe have a different experience if I was to go to a public bath, as I am sharing the space with others, and feel that I would not be able to enjoy it as much as I can hear the voices of other bath users, which disturbs my relaxation mood.
Notes
- When designing a bathhouse, I have to think about what I would enjoy if I were to visit the bathhouse myself.
- Bathing is a personal experience that everyone interprets differently.
- For some, people use bathing for relaxation, leisure, socialising, or basic hygiene routine.
- What materials may enhance/downgrade the use experience in a bath?
- What and where would I want my belongings to be when I am bathing?
- Consider the problems I have when visiting a public bathing/pool area, and work around them (e.g. I do not want to be disturbed during my bathing experience, what is a solution to this?)
